This Shipping & Delivery policy explains how Jersey Hollow gets your long sleeve fishing jersey, hunting jersey, hoodie or cap from the moment you place an order to the day it reaches your door, dock house or deer camp mailbox. It covers how long we take to prepare an order, how long the parcel spends in transit, where we deliver, what shipping costs (nothing) and what to do if a parcel runs late or something looks wrong when it arrives. It applies to every order placed on jerseyhollow.shop. If something here does not answer your question, email support@jerseyhollow.shop and we will reply within 24 hours on business days.

From checkout to the ramp: how an order moves

Every order goes through two stages. The first is preparation, which is the time we need to get your items ready, including any personalised lettering. The second is transit, which is the time the parcel spends travelling to your address once it has left us. Your estimated delivery window is simply the two added together, so it helps to think about both before the first cast of the season or a birthday dinner.

Stage one: preparation

Preparation takes 1-3 business days after your order is placed and payment has gone through. Business days run Monday to Friday and do not include public holidays. An order placed on a Saturday morning before an early bass trip starts its preparation clock on the following Monday. During this stage your jersey is produced with the print pattern you chose, whether that is scales, ripples, topo lines, leaves, marsh grass or feathers, and any text you typed into the personalisation fields is added exactly as entered.

Stage two: transit

Once your parcel leaves us it usually takes 7-14 business days to arrive. Parcels to nearby US addresses often land toward the shorter end, while parcels going a long way, for example to Australia or New Zealand, can use the full 14 business days. Transit times are estimates, not guaranteed dates, and the carrier’s own pace, weather and local holidays at the destination can all play a part.

Why personalised items do not take longer

Custom Name jerseys, the custom name hoodie and the family crew jersey use built-in fields on the product page: Name on back, and on some products Sleeve text, Camp name, Boat name, Lettering colour or Trip year. Because the text comes straight from those fields, a personalised order follows the same 1-3 business day preparation window as a plain all-over print jersey. There is no proof or mockup step to wait for; the live preview on the product page is what you approve, and we print exactly what is typed.

Delivery windows by country

We deliver to four countries. The table below sets out what to expect for each one. Shipping is free in every case, and the same preparation and transit ranges apply across all four destinations.

Jersey Hollow delivery estimates by destination
DestinationShipping costPreparationTransit after dispatchTypical total from order to door
United StatesFree, no minimum1-3 business days7-14 business daysAbout 8-17 business days
CanadaFree, no minimum1-3 business days7-14 business daysAbout 8-17 business days
AustraliaFree, no minimum1-3 business days7-14 business daysAbout 8-17 business days
New ZealandFree, no minimum1-3 business days7-14 business daysAbout 8-17 business days

The totals are a planning guide built from the two ranges above. They count business days, so a window of 17 business days covers a little more than three calendar weeks. If you are buying for a fixed date, such as Father’s Day, a retirement party or the opening weekend at deer camp, count back from that date using the longest figure and order with room to spare.

Planning around a trip or an occasion

Imagine a fishing club of five friends ordering matching Lake jerseys, each with a different name on back, for a spring tournament weekend. If they place one order on a Tuesday, preparation could finish by Thursday or the following Monday, and the parcel could take up to 14 business days after that. Ordering four weeks before the weekend gives a comfortable cushion. The same thinking works for a holiday gift: the earlier the order, the less time anyone spends watching the mailbox.

Where Jersey Hollow can deliver

We ship to addresses in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. All orders ship from the USA. If your address is outside those four countries, checkout will not offer a shipping option and the order cannot be completed. That is not a mistake on the page; it means we do not currently deliver there.

Sending a gift to someone else

You can ship to any address in our four countries, even if it is not your own. A grandfather in Ohio, for example, might order four Custom Name Family Fishing Crew jerseys, two adult and two youth, and have them delivered straight to his daughter’s house in Canada ahead of a summer lake trip. Just enter the recipient’s full name and address in the shipping fields and your own email at checkout, so the order emails come to you rather than spoiling the surprise.

Residential, business and rural addresses

Homes, workplaces and rural addresses are all welcome, including properties down a long gravel road near the lake. For rural routes, include every detail the local delivery service needs, such as a unit, lot or route number. If you are unsure whether a particular type of address can be served, email us before ordering and we will help you work it out.

What free shipping covers

Shipping costs nothing on every Jersey Hollow order, whatever its size. One trucker cap ships free. A matching crew set of ten jerseys ships free. There is no minimum spend, no code to type and no surcharge for personalised items, extra-large sizes or long-distance destinations. The total you see at checkout shows shipping as zero before you pay.

Bigger orders and split parcels

Items in the same order usually travel together. Now and then, a larger order, such as a family set mixing jerseys, a full-zip hoodie and board shorts, may leave us in more than one parcel so nothing is held back waiting for another item. You never pay anything extra when that happens, and the second parcel follows the same estimated windows as the first. If part of your order arrives and the rest has not shown up a few days later, email us and we will tell you where things stand.

Import duties and taxes for Canada, Australia and New Zealand

Because orders ship from the USA, parcels going to Canada, Australia or New Zealand cross a border. Whether any import duties, taxes or handling fees apply depends on the destination country and its own rules, and those rules can change. Jersey Hollow does not add sales tax at checkout. If you have a question about duties on a specific order, contact us and we will help as far as we can.

Following your parcel

Once your order is placed you receive an order confirmation email. You can check the current status of your order at any time by signing in to My Account or by using the Order Tracking page with your order number and the email address used at checkout. The status there tells you whether the order is still being prepared or has been completed and sent on its way.

If you would like more detail than the status shows, email support@jerseyhollow.shop with your order number and we will send you an update. Please give the order a little time after dispatch before asking where it is, since parcels heading across a continent or an ocean can go quiet for several days while they move between hubs.

Getting the address right

Most delivery problems start with a small slip in the address: a missing apartment number, a swapped digit in a ZIP or postal code, or an old address saved in a browser. Before you press the button, read the shipping block once more, the same way you would check your knots before a cast.

Spotted a mistake after ordering?

You can change the shipping address within 24 hours of placing the order by emailing us. Include your order number and the full corrected address. The details of that window, and what else can be changed, are on our Cancel or Change an Order page. After 24 hours the order may already be on its way, so the sooner you write, the better.

If a parcel comes back to us

Occasionally a parcel is returned because an address could not be found or nobody collected it. If that happens, we will email you to confirm the right details and talk through next steps with you.

When a delivery does not go to plan

Almost every order arrives without trouble, but parcels sometimes run late, go missing or get knocked about in transit. Here is how we handle each case.

A parcel that is running late

First, compare today’s date with the window in the table above, counting business days rather than calendar days and leaving out public holidays. A parcel to Australia or New Zealand taking the full 14 business days in transit is still within its estimate, even if it feels slow. If your parcel is beyond the longest estimate, email us with your order number. We will look into it with you and tell you what we can do.

A parcel that should be there but is not

Check with neighbours, a building office or reception, the back porch, the boat shed and any parcel locker nearby, and ask others in the household whether they brought it in. If it still has not turned up, contact us with your order number and we will help you work through it.

Something arrives damaged or wrong

If a jersey arrives with a print fault, the wrong size or colourway, or a name that does not match what you typed in the Name on back field, email us with your order number and a few clear photos of the item and the label. Photos you send us for this are deleted 30 days after delivery. We will reply within 24 hours on business days and explain the options. You can also use our 60-day return window, described on the Returns & Exchanges page, where change-of-mind returns come with a free return label.

Seasonal timing and weather

Busy spells, such as the weeks before Father’s Day and the December holidays, mean more parcels in the carrier network everywhere. Severe weather can also slow things down, whether it is a winter storm across the northern states and Canada or summer flooding somewhere along the route. Our 1-3 business day preparation window does not change, but the transit part of the journey can stretch toward the top of its range. Ordering early is the simplest way to stay ahead.

Ordering for the whole crew

Matching crew sets are one of the most common things people order from us: a fishing club with each angler’s name on back, an offshore crew with the boat name on the chest, a family lake-trip set with the Trip year added. A few habits make these orders smoother to deliver.

  • Put the whole set in one order where you can, so everything ships to one address on the same timeline.
  • If members of the group live in different places, you can place separate orders to different addresses in our four countries; each order follows its own window.
  • Double-check every Name on back before you order. We print exactly what is typed, so “BRANDEN” will arrive as BRANDEN even if you meant BRANDON.
  • Check the Size Guide for each person, especially when youth and adult sizes are mixed in the same set.
