Everything you see on jerseyhollow.shop, from the scale and ripple print patterns to the product photos and the words on each page, is meant to be our own work or text our customers typed for their own shirts. We take copyright seriously in both directions: we protect what we create, and we want to hear from you quickly if you believe something on our site uses your work without permission. This page explains how to send a copyright notice, what happens after you send it, and how someone whose material was removed can respond. Trademark, brand name and logo concerns are handled on our Intellectual Property Policy page.
\n
\n
Copyright notices in short
\n
\n
Email copyright notices to support@jerseyhollow.shop with the subject line “Copyright notice”.
\n
Include the six elements listed in the section on writing a complete notice, so we can identify the work and the material without guessing.
\n
We reply to email within 24 hours on business days and tell you what we need, if anything, to move forward.
\n
When a notice is valid, we remove or disable the material and confirm it to you by email.
\n
A person whose material was removed can send a counter-notification, explained further down.
\n
Jersey Hollow, 3714 Pelham Lane, Charlotte, NC 28211, US. Email is the only support channel.
\n
\n
\n
What this copyright page covers
\n
This page applies to material published on jerseyhollow.shop. That includes the artwork shown on our product pages, the all-over print patterns such as topo lines, leaves, marsh grass and feathers, product photographs and live preview images, product descriptions, guide pages, and any text or images that customers send us and that we later show on the site. It follows the notice-and-takedown process set out in the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512, and we apply the same practical approach to similar requests from Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the countries we ship to.
\n
Copyright protects original creative works: drawings, illustrations, photographs, written text and similar material. It does not protect a name, a short slogan or a general idea such as “a bass jumping over a lake”. If your concern is about a business name, a logo, a brand mark or a camouflage pattern sold under a brand, that is usually a trademark question, and the Intellectual Property Policy describes how to raise it. If you are unsure which applies, send one email and we will route it.
\n
What this page does not cover
\n
This page is not the place for order questions. If you want to change the spelling on a Name on back field, cancel an order, or ask about a delivery, please use the Help Center or the Cancel or Change an Order page so your request reaches the right queue straight away. Copyright notices are read carefully and in order, and mixing them with order requests slows both down.
\n
Writing a complete copyright notice
\n
A notice works best when someone who has never seen your work can find the exact material on our site and understand why you believe it copies yours. Your written notice should contain all six of the following elements:
\n
\n
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorised to act on the owner’s behalf. A typed full name at the end of the email is accepted as an electronic signature.
\n
Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed. If several works are involved, a list is fine. A link to where your original is published, or an attached copy, helps a great deal.
\n
Identification of the material on our site that you believe is infringing, with the full URL of each product page or other page where it appears. If the material is one design shown in several colourways, list each URL.
\n
Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address, so we and, where the law requires, the person who posted the material can contact you.
\n
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the way you describe is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
\n
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
\n
\n
Send the notice to support@jerseyhollow.shop with the subject line “Copyright notice”. Plain text in the body of the email is easiest for us to read. Attachments such as images of your original artwork are welcome. Please do not send passwords or payment details by email; they are never needed for a copyright matter.
\n
A worked example
\n
Imagine you are an illustrator who drew a largemouth bass leaping through lily pads, and you notice a jersey on our site that you believe reproduces your drawing. A complete notice would say who you are, link to where your illustration was first published, list the URL of the jersey page on jerseyhollow.shop, include your postal address and phone number, contain the two required statements, and end with your full name as a signature. With that in hand, we can compare the two images directly and act without a long back-and-forth.
\n
Common gaps that slow things down
\n
\n
A link to our home page or a whole collection instead of the specific product page.
\n
No description of the original work, or only a statement that “the design is ours” with nothing to compare.
\n
Missing good-faith or accuracy statements.
\n
A notice sent on behalf of someone else without saying how the sender is authorised to act.
\n
\n
If something is missing, we write back and ask for it. We do not ignore incomplete notices, but we cannot remove material on the basis of a notice that does not identify it.
\n
\n
Copyright notice elements and why each one matters
\n
\n
\n
Element
\n
What to include
\n
Why we need it
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Signature
\n
Typed full name or a signed scan
\n
Confirms a real person stands behind the notice
\n
\n
\n
Original work
\n
Description, link or attached copy
\n
Lets us compare your work with the material on our site
\n
\n
\n
Material on our site
\n
Full URL of each page
\n
Lets us find exactly what you mean, including every colourway
\n
\n
\n
Contact details
\n
Name, postal address, phone, email
\n
Lets us reply and, where the law requires, pass details on
\n
\n
\n
Good-faith statement
\n
One sentence in your own words
\n
Required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)
\n
\n
\n
Accuracy statement
\n
Statement made under penalty of perjury
\n
Required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)
\n
\n
\n
\n
How Jersey Hollow handles a notice
\n
Every notice that arrives at the support inbox is read by a person. We reply within 24 hours on business days to confirm we have it, or to ask for any missing element. Once a notice is complete, we review the material it identifies against the original work you describe.
\n
When the notice is valid
\n
If the notice is complete and the material appears to use the work you identified, we remove the product, image or text, or disable access to it, and we confirm this to you by email. Where a design is offered in several colourways or on several garment types, such as the long sleeve crew-neck jersey, the pullover hoodie and the short sleeve tee, we look at every listing that carries it, not only the one URL in your notice.
\n
When the material came from a customer
\n
Customers mostly add plain text to their shirts: a name on the back, a camp name, a boat name or a trip year. Occasionally a customer emails us a photo, for example to show a print problem. If any customer-supplied material that we have shown on the site is the subject of a valid notice, we remove it and tell the customer who supplied it. Where the law allows, we share the notice with your contact details withheld unless they are needed for a counter-notification.
\n
When we need more information
\n
Some cases are not clear at first sight. Two people can independently draw a deer in a tree line at dawn, and a resemblance in subject is not the same as copying. If we cannot tell from the notice whether the material copies protected expression, we ask you for more detail before deciding. We may also ask questions of the person who supplied the material.
\n
Orders already placed
\n
If an item is removed after a notice, we do not continue to offer it. Any question about an order that included that item, such as a refund under our Refund Policy, is handled with the customer by email.
\n
Counter-notification if your material was removed
\n
If you supplied material that we removed after a copyright notice, and you believe it was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified, you can send us a counter-notification. It must be in writing, sent to support@jerseyhollow.shop with the subject line “Counter-notification”, and include:
\n
\n
Your physical or electronic signature.
\n
Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
\n
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
\n
Your name, postal address and telephone number.
\n
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Jersey Hollow may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person’s agent.
\n
\n
When we receive a valid counter-notification, we forward it to the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material within the period set out in 17 U.S.C. § 512(g), unless the original sender tells us they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity. We let you know by email whichever way it goes.
\n
Notices sent in bad faith
\n
A copyright notice is a serious legal statement. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Please do not use this process to remove a competitor’s listing, to settle a disagreement about an order, or to object to a design simply because it shows the same kind of fish, bird or landscape as your work.
\n
If you are not sure whether something infringes your rights, consider getting independent legal advice before you write to us. We cannot give legal advice, and nothing on this page is legal advice.
\n
Repeat infringement and our own designs
\n
We remove material from, and may refuse future orders or close the accounts of, people who repeatedly supply infringing material. In practice this rarely comes up, because the personalisation fields on our product pages accept short text only: a Name on back of up to 14 characters, and optional Sleeve text, Camp name, Boat name or Trip year where those fields are offered. Customers cannot upload artwork to be printed.
\n
That limit is deliberate. We print our own designs and your own name or text only. We cannot add someone else’s artwork, a fishing brand’s logo, a pro angler’s or hunter’s name, a tournament trail name or a camouflage brand pattern to any shirt. If you type something like that into a personalisation field, we will contact you to change or cancel that order line. You can read more about what we can and cannot print in the Intellectual Property Policy and our Terms of Service.
\n
Using Jersey Hollow content elsewhere
\n
The same rules protect our work. Our print patterns, product photos and page text may not be copied onto other websites, marketplaces or products. If you spot one of our designs being sold somewhere else, we would like to know; an email with the link is enough.
\n
Where to send copyright mail
\n
All copyright notices and counter-notifications go to support@jerseyhollow.shop. Using the subject lines “Copyright notice” or “Counter-notification” helps us read them first. We reply within 24 hours on business days. Our postal identity is Jersey Hollow, 3714 Pelham Lane, Charlotte, NC 28211, US, and email remains the way to reach us for every request.
\n
For order questions, go to Contact Us or open a ticket on Submit a Ticket. For how we handle the personal details included in a notice, see our Privacy Policy.
\n","visible_characters":12186,"meta_description":"How to send Jersey Hollow a copyright notice about material on jerseyhollow.shop, what we do once it arrives, and how a counter-notification works.","parent":null,"published_at":"2026-11-01T14:30:15+00:00","updated_at":"2026-11-01T14:30:15+00:00"}}
